Porn For Straight Girls: The Booty Battle

Well, "Battle Of The Asses 3" combines two of my favorite things: butt-centric porn and Manuel Ferrara. So I was pretty much compelled to watch it, and it turned out to be quite good! Plus, it's directed by a woman, which is a bonus.

I don't know anything about Mason, directing here under the moniker "Sam No," but I think it's pretty fantastic that she makes really hardcore, slick, fairly traditional movies. Not all female directors need to have a "porn for women" focus to make their movies appealing to women. This has a 50-Cent-music-video, David LaChappelle sort of aesthetic: lots of close-ups of glossy, bouncing booties, bright lighting, saturated colors, dancy techno. I liked it. Two of the scenes begin with Mason interviewing the female performers, Sarah Vandella and Jada Stevens, and those are the best intros. Mason asks them about the development of their asses, if they were strippers, if they get attention on the street, that kind of thing. And she's really, really into them, which is fun.

Now, "Battle Of The Asses 3" sounds like anal porn, but it's not (only) that. Sure, there's some anal, but this is mainly about showcasing women who have fantastic rear ends. Hence the booty-jiggling that begins each segment, and the myriad of zooming-in moments from behind. The only real "battle" that takes place is in the opening scene, a threesome with Gracie Glam, Jynx Maze, and Erik Everhard. Gracie and Jynx take turns rimming and groping each other, all the while trading encouragements and taunts, and pretty much just maneuvering Erik wherever they want him. He could have been one of those fucking machines for all they noticed him. There's definitely a lot of energy in the scene, and they're both enjoying themselves, but the impersonal attitude toward the third member of their little party kind of disturbed me.

Manuel! I love him. I didn't love his partner so much, the pretty but slightly vacant Jenna Presley. She seemed a little like she was on automatic with the fucking thing. It's weird when the girl's vocal reactions aren't exactly timed with what a guy is doing to her, but come just early enough for me to think, "Is she paying attention?" But Manuel is always lovely, and complimentary, and gives lots of oral to his ladies. I liked his second scene more, with Madison Ivy, who participated more actively. Meaning, she actually seemed to want to be there with him. Plus, it was really hot when he had her pinned up against the wall at the end and asked where she wanted him to come on her.

I loved Sarah Vandella's scene with Erik Everhard, who really deserved a one-on-one session after that whole threesome debacle. They just looked so, so into each other (and said as much in the BTS footage.) Sarah was very vocal about what she wanted and when she was going to come, which I like, and Erik kind of flung her around a lot. There was plenty of mutual oral that didn't look like they were trying to smother each other, and they were just generally a lot of fun to watch. Finally, Jada Stevens is pretty adorable, and has this freaking enormous ass that's way disproportionate to her body. Her scene was with Mick Blue, who has this really brutish look that I find oddly appealing. He seems like he would be really shy in real life, I don't know why. Their scene was nice, but kind of forgettable.

This is certainly more traditional than what I usually like, but I ended up really enjoying it, even more than I thought I would. And it's not just anal! Plus, I just feel like I should support female directors as much as possible given how few there are, don't you?
