Lily Allen’s A Bazaar Work Of Art

Does this painting of Lily Allen look strangely familiar? It's not just deja vu: you've already seen the photo it's based on (shot for Russian Harper's Bazaar).

Now that we've settled that question, let's turn to a more pressing matter: why is it a painting at all? Apparently, Australian Harper's felt that a painting of a topless Lily Allen would be more acceptable than a straight up topless photo. The rationale here escapes us...but then, either version of Lily is a work of art we'd proudly hang in our living room.
