“Teen Brazil 7”: It’s OK If They’re Hookers

Prostitutes—even teen prostitutes—are different in Brazil. Sao Paulo hookers kiss on the lips and blow you in the car. If you've ever driven in Brazil, you know that that's dedication.

And porn is different in Brazil, too, as most of it is performed as a sideline to prostitution. That is why "Miss Teen Brazil 7," directed by Fernando Marques, is kind of a travelogue as well as a porn film. We see downtown Sao Paulo, get a hint of how horrifying traffic is there, and are further impressed by how Brazil appears to be One Nation Under a Tanline.

Unless you understand Portuguese (popozuda is Brazilian Portuguese for "great big ass"), you will not follow any of the incidental conversation in this movie. But you will be happy to know that, whereas Americans say "Oh, fuck!" in the heat of the moment, Brazilian women - even teen prostitutes - say "Oy."

The women in this movie have a well-traveled but amiable look about them. One even licks a churro.

So get your popozuda to your nearest video store and get "Teen Brazil 7."
