We've fallen a little behind on our current Swedish pop acts, but we may become instant fans of The Crashlanders and their DIY video production ethic. Rather than hire fancy directors and expensive actors or shoot another boring concert video, featuring, you know, members of the actual band, they simply borrowed a classic black and white film reel of "Famous Dancers of the Burlesque Stage," replaced the audio with their own tune "Mellan N

r," and presto ... instant music video! It's cheap, clever and easily more entertaining than anything Spike Jonze could have come up with—and ingenious too, because even if people don't like their brand of music, they'll still sit through it for a chance to watch girls shaking their boobies. It's strategy that really can't lose.
