In one of the stranger news stories not involving the state of Florida, it would seem that Guadalajara, Mexico has decided to make sex in public legal. Well, let me rephrase, people can have sex in public as long as it doesn't bother anyone.

So, here's the actual text of the law—translated into English—in case you are curious:

"Having sexual relations or committing acts of exhibitionism of a sexual nature in public places, vacant lots, inside vehicles or in private locations in public view will be considered administrative offenses, as long as a citizen requests police intervention"

The idea behind the law is kind of simple, police should be focused on more serious crimes instead of punishing people who get caught up in the passion of moment or if some people can't afford a hotel room. I would say this one is a win for love... and sex in public.

Yeah, this is kind of crazy, but I guess it isn't the craziest thing we've ever heard. I mean, people were having sex in public before this so, it's probably going to cause everyone to go outside and start getting in on the fun. I guess some people might be more into the idea now since they would only receive a fine instead of any harsher penalties. It'll be interesting to see if tourism goes up for Guadalajara, Mexico.
