Checking In with Girlsway Director Casey Calvert

Congrats, Casey!

Porn star Casey Calvert has made her porno directorial debut alongside veteran shooter Eli Cross in the new Adult Time/Girlsway series Maid For Each Other. It is a super looking series and if you love lusty girl/girl, you definitely need this series and this site in your life. Here's what Calvert has to say about making this.

So, how are you doing, Casey? How are things?

"I'm doing great! Things are incredibly busy in my life right now, both professionally and personally, but it's awesome."

Congrats on being Adult Time's newest director! What made you decide to give directing a try?

"Thank you! You know, I've been wanting to direct for a long time, but the right opportunity never presented itself. When Bree Mills asked if I was interested in working for Gamma/Adult Time -- a company whose ethics I really support -- I couldn't say no.

You are working with veteran director Eli Cross on your first project. How was working with him? What has he taught you most about making movies?

"Eli and I have been working on my custom videos for a long time, so this isn't exactly the first time we've been on an adult set together. I love working with him; we have a very similar sensibility when it comes to sexuality and production. He's an incredibly talented filmmaker, and knows everything I don't about cameras and lighting -- technical stuff that I learned in film school but haven't really used since. The number one lesson he taught me was to prioritize my shots. I might not have the time in a day to get everything I want for a given scene, so it's important to get what I HAVE to have first, then I can get what I want."

What do you think is sexiest about the maid scenario/fetish/trope?

"It might be silly, but I have a soft spot for porno tropes. I think it's really fun subverting them. For me, there's a fetishy, D/s aspect to maid scenarios, especially in porn. These are women you've hired to do your dirty work and take your orders. They work on hands and knees scrubbing and cleaning up after you. It's just a short leap from there to imagining them serving in other ways."

How is working with Adult Time's head of production Bree Mills? She has said that she and the fans of her work have really valued the work that you have done as a performer for Girlsway, Pure Taboo and Fantasy Massage.

"Bree is amazing, and I'm forever indebted to her. She's not only a great director to work for as a performer, she's a great producer. She champions my creativity in so many ways."

What is your favorite scene of the ones that you have directed so far?

"My favorite scene is one I just shot -- "Cheeky Sense of Humor" with Serena Blair and Kenna James. Both girls are spectacular performers, and this scene was incredibly funny *and* scorching hot. Plus, it was Kenna's first girl/girl anal scene, and I'm honored for the opportunity to shoot her putting things in her butt."

Do you think you will be directing content for the other Adult Time channels or do you think that you will be sticking with Girlsway for now?

"Girlsway is definitely my bread and butter, but I totally welcome the opportunity to direct for other Adult Time channels."

So what else is coming up for you? What else do you have going on that you can share with the world right now?

"Any day now, my custom video website is going to launch. I'm a perfectionist, as everyone knows, and I finally found a programmer who understands my vision. So people should definitely keep an eye out for that! And, just because I'm directing now, doesn't mean I've stopped performing. I have a bunch of big features in the pipeline that I'm really excited about."
