“(s)AINT” by Marilyn Manson: Marilyn Manson is an artist that I've been listening to for years, and I find many of his songs, especially this one, equal parts dark and sexy.

“Downfall” by Children of Bodom: This song marks my first venture into death metal and sparked my love for metal in general. Children of Bodom defines Scandinavian melodic death metal for me.

“Dolls” by Dark Lunacy: I always enjoy the addition of classical instruments to metal songs. The violin in this song is delightful and haunting.

“Twilight of the Thunder God” by Amon Amarth: I love me some good ol' cheesy Viking-themed death metal.

“Start Wearing Purple” by Gogol Bordello: I thought I'd include something not dark or metal related. Something I'm always a sucker for is incorporating cultural folk music into modern songs, and I love the accordion and violin in this song.
