Getting to talk to and really get to know the porn stars who make the movies that we all love so much is most definitely one of the most satisfying parts of what I do, I love getting to meet a brand new star at the beginning of their career to find out what they aspire to and I also love talking to a top, seasoned star about what they love most about their most recent project. These ten interviews are the ones that Fleshbot readers clicked on the most this year and I am deeply grateful for the time I have gotten to spend doing all of the interviews that I have done this year.

10) Lauren Phillips

Back in October, Phillips talked with us about her starring role in Adult Time/Girlsway's "Seeing Red" series, a lesbian series starring only redheads. Here's what Phillips had to say about working for Girlsway.

"I love the women empowerment and the detail they put in the scene. They really want everything to be perfect and for everyone to look and feel their best."

9) Karla Kush

Every month, I do my very best to get an interview with Girlsway's Girl Of The Month as Fleshbot readers love the bejesus out of this Adult Time lesbian porn channel. Of all of the Girlsway Girls Of The Month for the year, September's Girl Kush got the very most clicks from Fleshbot readers.Will this translate to her becoming the Girl Of The Year? Only time will tell. Here's what Kush had to say about what she thinks makes a great girl/girl scene.

8) Autumn Falls

Back in March, I talked to 18 year old starlet Falls when she was promoting Girlfriends Films' "Bad Lesbian 10". She became a big star as the year progressed and she has multiple AVN Award nominations including one for Best New Starlet. Here is what she said when I asked her about what she most wanted to achieve in the adult industry.

"I want to grow a brand name for myself and become the best performer I can be."

7) Riley Reyes

Fleshbot readers also love the edgy, boundary pushing drama featured on Adult Time's Pure Taboo channel and they avidly read this September interview with gorgeous star Reyes about a featurette she wrote and starred in for the company titled ""Aunt's Hospitality: A Riley Reyes Story". Here is what Reyes shared about creating her own work within the very popular family roleplay genre.

"I noticed that most family roleplay didn't have a female villain for a heterosexual scene. If the woman initiated sex, it was always sensual or even sort of silly and flirty. I wanted to play a woman with a manipulative, predatory bent. Men get those roles all the time. It's really hot to subvert people's gender expectations by showing a wicked woman."

6) Piper Cox

Fleshbot readers found inked beauty Cox irresistible and she was more than happy to talk to me about her porn hopes and dreams as part of promoting the New Sensations hotwife/voyeurism themed release "While He Watches". Here was her answer when I asked her back in September what she loved most about being a porn performer.

"The friends I’ve made and the freedom I’ve had just a taste of. Wouldn’t change a thing."

5) Kenzie Taylor

Taylor had one the year's top starring roles when she played the title role in what is really the parody of the year --Wicked Pictures' "Captain Marvel: An Axel Braun Parody". (Check out my review of this movie on the site tomorrow.) She talked to me about being that big superhero back in October.

"I personally love the fact that I got an opportunity to showcase my multiple talents and skills, some of which I specifically had to acquire for this role. For example, I have been training martial arts for a few years but now I started to train daily and take it far more seriously in order to give the character the justice it deserves. Captain Marvel is basically invincible and it was an honor to play her. My favorite superpower that she possesses is her 'photon energy' or basically her superhuman strength that gives her the ability to shoot energy balls out of her hands, but I also absolutely love that she is witty, sarcastic and, of course good looking while at it."

4) Savannah Bond

Australian starlet Bond entered the porn world this year and made quite the impression on Fleshbot readers during her May interview. She talked to me while promoting the fantastic Jules Jordan Video movie "Thick" and this is the advice she had for a fellow new female porn performer.

"Don't do it for the money and make sure it's because you're passionate about it and really want to."

3) Angela White

AVN Hall of Famer/AVN Female Performer of the Year White is always a complete delight to talk to and this was her second year as porn's reigning superstar with the title of Female Performer of the Year. She did a super hot scene with Kissa Sins in Adult Time/Girlsway's We Like Girls Project and I was thrilled to talk with her about it back in February. I totally think that she could make this a threepeat and I asked her how it felt to win one of porn's top awards twice.

"It feels both incredible and surreal! I will be eternally grateful to have received this honor and privilege not once but twice. I worked extremely hard this past year and took some risks so it is amazing to have my work recognized."

2) Bridgette B.

AVN MILF Performer of the Year nominee B. is absolutely one of my favorite performers and I was very happy to talk to her while she was out and about promoting Adam & Eve's "Ultimate MILF Fantasies" back in October. Here's what B. shared about being labeled as a MILF in porn.

"MILF by definition is of course “Mom I'd Like to Fuck”.....well, I’m not a mom in real life. This career of mine has been about bringing so many of these fantasies to life, and I hope I’ve been able to provide that. I stand firm in my convictions that being a MILF is an attitude, a sense of how you carry yourself, and a loving yet dominant like stance in how the scenes are played. When people ask why such scenes have continued to be so successful, I always say because not only myself but my other beautiful actresses in this genre have elevated it into permanent mainstream XXX and it is not going anywhere."

1) Maitland Ward

TV star Ward made her move into porn this year and she has more than made her mark in her time here. I talked to her back in October as part of her promoting the Deeper smash hit feature "Drive" directed by AVN Director of the Year Kayden Kross. Here is what Ward told me when I asked her if performing in porn was what she thought it would be like.

"I’ve had the best experience. Of course, I’ve only worked with the best sites and people, but it’s been incredible. There are so many misconceptions about porn and porn sets. Listen, mainstream Hollywood sets I’ve been on were much crazier—and not as fun. The sets in porn I’ve been on have been so professional. The cast and crew really do put in tireless care and effort. Being in this film, we worked 14 hour days and became such a close tight knit group. I loved all of it. The time and care put into the craft and product were unbelievable. And the fact that three kick ass, powerhouse females collaborated on this and put this together is amazing and inspiring. It could teach mainstream a thing or two."
