California Labor Board Rules In Favor Of Porn Stars Against LA Direct Model Agency

The Porn Stars Won This Round

California Labor Commissioner Patricia Salazar yesterday put out a decision on the complaint brought fourth by five porn stars against LA Direct Models agency owner Derek Hay AKA former porn performer Ben English. The commissioner's decision found against LA Direct and English on seven of ten complaints.

The five porn stars who petitioned the labor board were identified by XBIZ as Charlotte Cross, Gia Milana, Sofi Ryan, Zoe Sparx and Hadley Viscara.

LA Direct held responsible in the ruling for the porn stars' legal fees and was ordered to pay a six-figure attorney fee to the stars' representation, attorney Allen Gelbard.

"As you know it’s not my practice to try my cases in the media," Gelbard said to XBIZ. "I’m very proud of the girls for going through all the turmoil they went through in their private and professional lives to stand up to Derek Hay, but today the labor commission said that they were right and he was wrong."

Hay and LA Direct Models told XBIZ that they plan to appeal the decision and Hay released a statement on the decision to XBIZ that you can read by clicking here.
