I listen to just about everything except for oldies and hard rock. Music can depict and change moods so it depends on the day for me with music. My preference is rap/hip hop. Because of the stories, the passion, joy and pain that can be felt in the lyrics.

Although a beat or tempo may be important in creating a song, the words and the message is what I find most important. I can’t stand bubblegum music that just repeats some silly hook over and over. Give me substance, give me something I can relate to.

It’s hard to pick one song from each artist...
So instead, I chose three of my favorite artists right now and a couple songs from each..Nipsey HussleTrying to pick just one or two songs feels impossible. Nearly every word from his mouth speaks to my soul. I know what it’s like to really grind and hustle. I know what it’s like to feel like you have a whole community on your back, and you have to make it big and be successful not just for you but for them too. All of Nipsey Hussle’s music is amazing, from mixtapes to albums. They create such an energy that I can’t put in words.

RIP Nipsey.

"Victory Lap" by Nipsey Hussle featuring Stacy Barthe:
When I need motivation or reassurance, I turn this song on. Only those close to me know how hard I had to grind to get to this point in my life and I’m just getting started. This song will have even more importance if I can make to where I want to be in my career. When I make it to that victory lap. I find joy knowing Nipsey was at such a personal and professional high when this music came out.

"Grinding All My Life/Stucc In the Grind" by Nipsey Hussle: I laugh at the beginning of this song because I had an ex who said I probably would be alone forever. He is probably right. You gotta give whatever you do, your all. I chose making money and chasing my dreams over him and almost everything else. Ten years in adult entertainment through strip clubs, escorting etc.. I'm married to this game.

"FDT" by YG and Nipsey Hussle:
Does this need any more explanation?
I avoid politics. I could care less if someone is a Republican or Democrat. Personally, I’m independent. I just wish and hope whoever is the president, has good character and has respect for our military vets, handicapped, minorities, women, our immigrants.

Kevin Gates, ugh what can I say. His wife is a lucky woman. He is my rapper crush. Haha. I once got to be front row at a small concert in KC of his years ago. I think my panties instantly got wet when he got on stage. Some of his songs are sexual and fun. But this stuff, I play on repeat is more about grinding. Making money and not letting anything stand in the way.

"In God I Trust" by Kevin Gates: I have no doubt that God (or high power or whatever you believe) had a hand in my life. I’ve made some big mistakes in life and I’m lucky to be alive. ”I came up, I rose up out the mud, can’t trust nobody so in God I trust”

"Imagine That" by Kevin Gates: Where do I start? For me this song has a deep meaning. I was shunned by my immediate family when I was 19 years old. To feel so abandoned and to feel not good enough took a toll on my mind and soul. I love them but I can never forget what they did. The emotions overtook me and at a point I was homeless, stealing food and getting high daily trying to find a way to leave this world.

It’s amazing when I sit where I am today. Amazing to have gone from nothing and no one to everything I ever wanted. To go from the streets to a big house, new car, food filled and money in the bank. People who whispered and talked about me now congratulate me. Imagine that.

"Moment 4 Life" by Nicki Minaj featuring Drake:
Wanna know a secret? I listen to this song on full blast and sing along on the top of my lungs before every shoot. I’m so happy and thankful to be part of the XXX industry and I just want these amazing moments to last forever.
