The Elusive Contract Girl

Well I figured with my first blog I wouldn't bore you with endlessly boring sales-y stuff. But I figure I should first explain how I would end up boring you with that anyway.  

My name is Megan Stokes and I am the VP of Sales, Foreign and Domestic for Shane's World Studios.. But I didn't always have such a wordy title. I have been in "the industry" for about 10 years. I was basically a web geek for the last 8. About 4 years ago I started at Shane's World heading up the internet department and to make it short .. a year and a half ago I became our DVD sales rep. If you have read some of Don Houston's Shane's World DVD reviews you may have noticed he has a knack for pointing me out in the "lost footage".

So for my first blog I am heading straight into the contract girl discussion! During my time with Shane's World we found Casey Parker, actually it was more like she found us. She contacted us after seeing some of our movies .. what a strike of luck! It's a rare thing when a girl that totally fits with your company ... well, finds you. More recently we have become even more open to the idea of contact girls. We have Delilah Strong as "Ms. College Invasion" and of course we have Devon for directing. But we are greedy at Shane's World (wink, wink) and want more!! LOL

We are always on an endless quest to find girls that are not only totally hot ..but that you want to have a beer with. If we can't have a beer with her, she can't be in our movies. Sometimes it seems really hard to find that mix of sexuality and personality. I think I now know why men find dating so damn difficult. I have to give a lot of credit to Digital Playground and Vivid for being the masters at finding amazing contract girls ... because let me tell you it's a tough job! So if anyone has any suggestions let me know! In all seriousness this blog is to remind you, the fans .. how much care and consideration studios put in to finding YOU top notch girls. A girl that you can fall in love with and hopefully, have a beer with too. And while it's not always an easy job, it's not exactly a bad job to have either =)

But the real question of the hour is what makes a good contract girl to the fans? Looks? Personality? Interaction? Scenes? Availability? Let me know in the forum. I am an information junkie! If Sasha Grey is the Fuck Junkie, then I am the Info Junkie!

Random thoughts on the industry:

-          I am noticing a trend in women who look like women, real boobs, not totally shaved, not toooo skinny ... which I happen to find refreshing.

 -          Is it just me or are there not enough MILF's in the biz?

-          Where are the BIG features this fall?
