Walking into the convention revealed to me so many things. Besides the waft of complete victory since I made my destination after a grueling three-hour drive from Orlando to Miami.  So many things struck me upon entering those glass doors after security check. It was a utopia of adult openness and acceptance. It wasn’t just about those porn movies I watch and study daily even though I ran into countless DVDs on the floor.  It was definitely about the people behind it all that magical weekend. Thankfully many of these wonderful people were vendors themselves and had wares on the floor for me to bask in. I ran into all kinds of sex toys, apparel, and even life-sized sex dolls! So along with the caravan of A-list adult stars, I was surrounded by a menagerie of marvelous items. 

Sex Toys: Butt plugs, butt plugs, and more butt plugs.  I mean there were more items on the floor other than those shiny chrome toys. Yet these little photogenic pieces of sexual art dazzled me upon meeting them in person. I observed everything from the pricing to the design types of these devices made for the sole purpose of stuffing up someone’s butt.

If you followed #AnalApril here on Xcritc then you’re no stranger to my love of anal porn. So I’m appreciative of running into these vital tools for butt stuff in person. The price range was fascinating to me as it varied upon the design of the butt plug or who was selling it. 

Outfits and apparel: Yes the girls were selling their own shirts like your favorite touring band would while on the road. As someone who frequents concerts, this was a familiar and welcome turf. I saw Lexi Belle shirts and Abella Danger shirts. I saw Pink Pony shirts as well which is a local adult establishment in the Miami area (they had an exhibit).

There were larger exhibits promoting full on boutiques from retailers. So I saw more than T-shirts on the convention floor that wonderful weekend.  Elaborate sensual lingerie and other erotic ensembles for the ladies to browse through. It was smart to have gear for the working women that were on the floor that day.

DVDs: Most of the girl's booths contained DVDs from their respective bodies of work. They were on full display and set the ambiance of a true trade show.  For example, if you walked up to Jill Kassidy’s booth not only will you be greeted with her striking beauty but you will also be rewarded with a decorative collection of DVD boxes she had for sale.

Other girls followed the same formula like Honey Gold for example. Her booth was elaborately decorated which wasn’t even needed to draw in her fans because they would have lined up regardless and they did. This show’s that Honey went the extra mile and had merchandise in mind when setting up her booth for Exxxotica Miami. 

All in all, it was a magical experience for me to be around that many adult film stars at Exxxotica Miami. It was well worth the travel two times over and it's an experience that'll I never forget. It was even special that I was given the ability to walk off that floor with tangible items of sentimental value that'll forever remind me of Exxxotica Miami in 2018. It also helped that buying any of those items would have helped support this industry I love so much in person.
