Hey Fleshbot fans! Pride doesn’t end at the end of June! July is Disability Pride Month so for this week's Throwback Thursday picks, I’ve gathered a few favorite indie porn films from recent years that center disabled performers from the archives of PinkLabel.tv. Disabled folks are often infantilized in our society or people just make harmful assumptions that they are unable to enjoy or do not desire sexual contact, which is ridiculous. There are some disabled people, just like abled people, that are asexual, but there are just as many people of every other stripe of gender and orientation who have just as many kinks and pervy stuff going on as abled folks. When we bring an attitude of inclusion and accessibility to the table when it comes to sexuality and kink, amazing stuff can happen. A dearly departed friend of mine was once suspended by ropes while in her wheelchair at kinky camp and the pure joy of that moment was something I will remember forever.

Into-You-I-See-Me (2022), directed by India D’Scarlett is an intimate and romantic portrayal of performers Rachel Rose and Oliver David. Its tagline is “ability' means nothing when eros is alive'. This film doesn’t feature any dialogue but instead gives us a closeup view of how even the lightest touches can bring someone incredible pleasure and get that oxytocin flowing freely. We watch Rachel tenderly undress and caress Oliver against a backdrop of soothing sensual music and we see their silhouettes as Oliver suckles her nipples and caresses her with his hands. They sink into the warmth and safety of each other’s bodies and it’s a really lovely thing to see.

CrashPadSeries Episode 172: Lyric Seal and Joey Minx (2014) is an episode of the long-running series featuring an interabled (where one partner is abled and the other disabled) pairing of Lyric Seal (they/them) and Joey Minx (they/them). This delightful episode features some pretty rough BDSM which to me is awesome because many people treat disabled folks in kink a blanket way as if they are made of glass, rather than assessing each person’s limits and desires. The storyline is that Lyric has borrowed Joey’s lipstick without asking and Joey’s about had enough of their petty theft so Lyric is going to learn a lesson. We start with some good ol’ face slapping and Joey goes on to remove Lyric’s clothes and start roughing them up with a great mix of playfulness and cruel affection that is a delight to watch. There’s some tit slapping followed by a roll-off to the bedroom where these folks get comfy in bed with Lyric’s mouth taped up. There is spanking and fingering and then out come the toys! Woohoo! Watch the whole thing to soak in all the hot action!

What You Didn’t Steal From Me (2020) features non-binary performer Kitty Rodé (they/them) in a poignant self-bondage performance that conveys their experience with self-acceptance and rediscovering their sexuality during recovery from trauma. They wanted to relearn to love their fat, brown, and disabled body so they showed it off on camera and even filmed a bit of it with a scene partner. This is lovely and life-affirming and I really love her rope skills. Do not ask me to tie you up because I suck at knots! To be able to do it on yourself I think would be even harder than on a partner, so go Kitty!

Sexual Being (2018) from Gonella Productions follows porn performer Chandler Borland from Toronto and Meaghan Ryan Coates, a mainstream actress making art films in LA. Meaghan also works as a psychic reader and spiritual counselor. Both people have cerebral palsy and the film follows their work experiences, bouncing between them and showing what the day-to-day looks like for these creative folks as Chandler films a porn movie and Meaghan films a mainstream movie and they navigate all of te challenges that cross their paths. It’s an interesting look behind the scenes and lends a lot of insight into these people’s lives. It doesn’t have much sex but it’s definitely worth a look!

Sadistic Nurse (2015) also features BDSM elements, but much more roleplay and spanking. It’s directed by the queen of spanking films Pandora Blake and features David Weston who uses a wheelchair, and his real-life partner Talia Lane. They do a medical roleplay scene in which Talia portrays David’s cruel and sexy nurse. She comes into his room and begins to handle him rather roughly, womanhandling him into bed and turning him over her knee, starting to spank his buns over his plaid pajamas telling him he’s been a “bad boy”.
