In the very near future, the history books will look back upon the time in the industry reigned by 2023 XBIZ MILF Performer of the Year Reagan Foxx. Fleshbot asks the question, what will be within those pages? Well, I like to believe what must be written, is the tale of a woman who has done it all in the world of entertainment, and done it well. In my record book, the first portion of the business Reagan conquered was the webcam world. Now, more than ten years later, she has risen to the top of the XXX cinema world as the best of the best. Trust me, Reagan Foxx is just that. I have been blessed to call her a friend in all the years she has navigated the tumultuous waters of porn, and a few things I can tell you, this woman has earned that trophy. Her goal to attain it has been a mission that I am so proud to have ridden along on. It is a trip that took a few great loves of my life to fall head over heels for her after they shot with her. To a hotel casino bar at AVN that brought me to tears with her true-to-life compassion, kindness, and friendship. It was here, after XBIZ 2023 that I sat down with Reagan, and asked if the journey to Valhalla was worth all the effort, and what is now left to accomplish.

My dear friend, let’s start this interview here. Tell us about the journey that was getting to become the 2023 XBIZ MILF Performer of the Year. What has your reign been like?

I always loved having these conversations with you and hearing your deep-rooted passion for our industry. That has always meant a lot to me, not only as your colleague, but it meant a lot to me as your friend. I remember that I would hear you say, “fuck, you have been working my ass off every single one of these shoots, every single time. I found that after I won, I kind of paid attention to those who reached out any which way, however, their connection was with me. I was really surprised at the people that didn't, and I was really surprised by some of the people that did.  I was touched by some that I didn't feel I had a friendship with, and yet they took the time just to say congratulations. And it touched my soul, those that maybe I had even been communicating just hours before the win, whom I'd never heard from wanted to say; “you did it!”

Woman, you are on fire! Preach! You are the MILF Performer of the Year!

So, now I really have this fire lit under me. I am not going to let them close the door on me. I'm ready to go for more than a couple more years. I know that at my age, it just comes with the territory. Now with this fire I have had lit with this win, you're going to see even more of me. Because I feel that I'm just now hitting my prime now. My acting is the best it has ever been. My weight. Yeah, my weight. I'm too skinny for everybody else. I love my weight!  I love being skinny. So it's hard when some people in this industry now tell me I have to gain weight after years of telling me that I needed to take some weight off. But I've got this now that I've won. And I didn't expect to win, and I didn't feel like it was my year in 2022. I feel like this is my year now. It's like, what can I do to make sure that I'm noticed? I want to hear them roar. I want my fans to hear me roar in a nice, humble, non-arrogant way, of course, but what can I do at this point? This is what I think made this Vixen shoot so meaningful.

So, tell me about this Vixen shoot! Finally! Finally, they have gotten one of the best damn performers on their site!

The feeling about this is so mutual. Well, honey, I have put in a strong effort in all the films and scenes that I have been a part of my whole career. I have so much respect and admiration for the brand that is Vixen. And, yeah, I have wanted to kick it I want to shoot with this company for a very long time. There are really things that I want to do and get out there and do. So, I'm hoping that my name will be said a lot this year, in a positive way, of course. I think it all began with my Vixen shoot.

You know, I remember years ago, you were shooting for Craven, when Reagan Foxx was opposite Brandi Love. Now, you are a fellow MILF Performer of the Year. That shoot has to mean something different now. Does it?

I remember they put my hair up, and I felt like Kramer. That character from a show that needs no mention. The shoot location was great. The wardrobe and make-up were so good.

Are you still happy? Have you become jaded within the industry as a whole? I know this is a tough question, but, this is what I see happens to many Performers of the Year. Especially as they get close to calling it a career. Which I hope is a long way away. 

Yeah, I'm pretty close to that. I'm very happy, and I'm not Jared Jaded. I'm close to retiring. But, I still have that feeling inside me, and it is there with every shoot. I am still saying inside, with every shoot that I have done this year, Oh, my goodness, this is fun. Especially this MILFY scene.

Let’s tell another story. Let’s tell the story of when you decided to pay attention to your acting. In my opinion as a critic that is what put you over the top. 

Well, I don't really know if there is actually a date that I could pinpoint. I remember when I first came in, everyone would say, “Oh, you're not a porn star until you're at least three years in.” You can't be throwing that title around unless you have at least three years in.” I thought, “Are you joking me? This is sex.” I mean, of course, I know what I'm doing, but I will tell you that whoever told me that it would take three years was absolutely right. I felt like I was always going through the motions, or, just doing exactly what I needed to do those first three years and when I had a role with a lengthy script. Or, had a feature that I was in. I always felt as if sounded as if I was reading, and I didn't like that. So I think after maybe three and a half years in, it was kind of like that movie The Matrix. You know, during the scene where Neo takes the red pill, and everything just felt different afterward. I saw everything differently, and I just relaxed. I wasn't overthinking with that role here, this role there, or, whatever. I just really tried to just be in that moment of having that experience.

That's really when it changed. From there I thought, I want to play one of those cowgirls, those physicians. It is a tougher role. Yeah. In my head, I'm thinking, “Oh, I'm going to make this so sexy. I'm going to slide up on top of that. I'm going to just rock this back and forth.” In my head, the sex always looks and feels amazing. But in reality, I'm jumping right off of the position. I'm jumping right back on and I'm just going up and down. And then I just shake my head afterward and go, “Come on, you could have done better than that.” You do what you're going to do in your head. I had a director once say every time he shoots this particular girl, he always believes her. And I thought to myself, “Well, I'm believable too! What are you talking about? So I always think about that, and I just thought, “Well, I don't want to sound like I'm reading the script.” So, I just take a breath and apply my thoughts and emotions to make the character feel like it's really you.  And then I just belt out dialogue like I would in a normal conversation, I guess.

Who influenced Reagan Foxx's acting the most?

Well, I think Jackie St. James and Holly Randall would both say because I believe they both have had this conversation with me as well, how far I've come from the scared little mealy mouse. I guess at the beginning compared to where I am now, I give ALL my directors the most credit. With Alan, he made me super knowledgeable. I wanted to be creepy for Alan. I wanted to do that for him. With Mike Quasar, it was kind of being just in it at the right moment. Just being as real as possible. And with Jackie, I took a lot of the scenes she wrote very seriously. Almost sounds terrible. I want to please them. I want to still please my directors. I want them to think to themselves that when I walk away, they say to themselves, “That was a good scene.” I’m still not quite there yet, but starting to feel more relaxed slowly. Not definitely where I am now. But I was coming around, and, I do hope that I get to shoot with her again because I would like her to see more than anyone that I really have come a long way.

This is my first time with Vixen, so I have a nice chance of getting involved further with that if I can knock it out of the park. Which I plan to do. I think that I can turn this into something big with them, and many of their companies within their structure.

So Mike Moz booked you?

I don't know, I don't know who that came from, I just know that John told me a date and I'll be there. Yeah. That'll take me on a different path, maybe into some future shoots with Deeper. And I've got Blacked on the table as well. So we're negotiating, doing some stuff with both companies that really must fit who I am as an actor, a performer, as a Performer of the Year. It still feels funny to say that. You know this, I will always be that girl who is hanging out at the bar, wearing her “Chucks.” There are two things I hardly ever do. One is to wear underwear. The other is put on high heels. I can still remember going on stage to receive my award and thinking that I was going to stumble on every step on the way up. I had no clue I was going to win. I had no idea that it was going to lead me to work with Vixen for the first time. That is what I think sums up things that best with what the award had meant to me, and my future, what I hope I will always be known for.
