There’s Free Smut WHERE?!

Hey Fleshbot fans! I always love it when I find out that a service I already pay for has something awesome that I’ve never tried before to add extra value, and I’m here to tell you about one such fun discovery I had recently.

If you’re an audiobook reader, you probably know about Audible. Paid memberships run $15 a month or so and with a membership, you receive a number of certain credits that can be used to purchase content, one credit mostly equals one book.

There is also, however, also a wealth of audiobooks included in Audible’s library that you don’t need to spend credits to listen to, and when you search on “erotica” and tick the checkbox for books included in your subscription (called the “Plus Catalog”.) I am a fan of hands-free audio erotica and was looking for one particular genre one evening when horny, and I found it in spades and a ton of other goodies. You’ve got lots of erotica tropes and genres to browse here--- bisexual, cuckold, adult fairy tales, gay male, lesbian, impregnation, prison, office hookups, and plenty of BDSM. For those who prefer your erotica with more of a fantasy element, there are aliens, furries, hucows, elves, and shapeshifters galore. Some of the books are anthologies of short stories or novellas, so there are quite a number of hours of listening within some of the individual titles. It’s worth noting that the classic The Story Of O is in the Plus Catalog (at press time.) In addition, Audible provides access to tons of podcasts including Bawdy Storytelling, Just The Tips, and other spicy stuff for your serial listening pleasure, and all of that is included in the membership fee as well. Titles do cycle in and out of the Plus Catalog on occasion the way different movies and shows go on and off of streaming services, but most are still available to purchase if you want to use credits once they have left the Plus Catalog.

You can spend your credits on smutty books if you like as well--- you’ve got your Anne Rice Sleeping Beauty books and Exit to Eden (one of the narrators is Sex Education’s Gillian Anderson!), tons of spicy romance including every were-creature you could imagine, lots of Chuck Tingle, and if you really must, they’ve got the Fifty Shades books (really, try the Chuck Tingle instead!). If you share your Audible account with young folks who shouldn’t see your smut library or listening history, Audible has provided a way to have them only have access to titles that you select on their devices and you can set that up within your membership interface.

As with anything, your mileage may vary. A lot of Plus Catalog books are self-published by their authors and read by AI-generated Virtual Voice narrators which of course are not the same as a human. A lot of the erotica found here isn’t exactly going to win any literary prizes either, but that’s not really the point. It’s kind of like expecting five-star food at your local $10 buffet. You go to a buffet for the quantity and selection, but not necessarily the quality.
