New studio Delphine films announced via Twitter that they would be covering swabbing costs for the next two months for their performers in their movies, putting the safety and well-being of their performers at the forefront.

After going to our first industry-wide testing moratorium, we got feedback from performers and we are going to start covering swabbing costs for the next two months. We had a great experience making movies this year with all of you! Can’t wait to make more in 2023. Stay safe!

As we discussed previously, rectal chlamydia is a very real problem in our industry right now and can lead to serious long-term health ramifications. Our current method of testing doesn’t pick up this specific strain. It requires a specific swab test to detect it.

Luckily once detected, it’s usually easily treated with a round of antibiotics.

The problem is two-fold, first, the test itself is more expensive, an additional $60 on top of the already $155 every two weeks a performer has to spend, and then there is the added issue of this type of test not being available at all facilities so you have to call around prior to going to test to make sure they can even do the swab test.

Luckily, for now, Delphine Films, a new studio, is willing to set up to the plate and help the stars of their movies cover the cost of that test for the next few months.
