Donny Long remains behind bars, but there is a twist in his case.

Anyone who knows Donny Long knows his hate for women. He loves to say, “All women are whores and liars,” and rant on endlessly about how women have a secret agenda to get him.

So, I was happy to see that he was assigned a female judge to his cases. However, he wasn’t having it. He tried to convince the court that he shouldn’t be in jail, demanded to be free, and claimed that this female judge was out to get him because she was biased against him. After all, she was a woman.

Over the last year, Donny Long has written several letters concerning this endlessly ranting about the “female agenda” and how a group of powerful women are working together to get him.

He demanded a new judge and to be set free reached the Florida Supreme Court, which ruled partly in his favor. But don’t worry—Donny Long isn’t getting out of jail.

However, he did get his way when it came to the request for a new judge. They agreed to assign a new judge to his cases. You can read the ruling here.

This new judge is Jalal A. Harb. Harb began his legal career in the state attorney’s office before being appointed to the bench by the governor in January 2013. The judge was born in Israel and speaks English, Arabic, and Hebrew.

Donny Long has a hearing set for today, but it looks like due to the change of the judge it may be a few more months before he gets his trial date.
