Las Vegas Police Investigate Violent Altercation at AVN Awards

LEGAL NEWS STRAIGHT

A physical altercation at the AVN Awards show in Las Vegas has led to a battery investigation by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police after a confrontation between adult content producer Jay PlayHard and BBW performer Kendra Kox’s husband, “Stayready.”

Video footage obtained by TMZ captures Stayready walking up to PlayHard in the casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas before throwing a punch that appears to land on PlayHard’s head. The two exchanged words before separating, with PlayHard later seen speaking with security, reportedly discussing calling the police.

Both Jay Playhard and Kendra Kox seem to be proud of the story as they both make mention of the TMZ story on their Twitter profiles.

Authorities confirmed they are now investigating the incident as a battery case, though no charges have been filed yet.

The dispute reportedly stems from allegations of content theft.

According to Kendra Kox, her husband confronted PlayHard because they believe he has been stealing content from their company, Girls Gone Wireless, as well as other creators in the industry.

“I thought I established a friendship through our business with Jay PlayHard,” Stayready told TMZ. “But I feel he came in with the intention of stealing our business and ruining my wife’s name and our professional reputation—and I feel I must protect that.”

PlayHard, who previously worked with Girls Gone Wireless as a content manager from 2022 to 2023, has denied the allegations, calling them defamatory and an intimidation tactic. He has since filed a formal statement with Las Vegas police regarding the altercation.

Brian Gross, who does the PR for the AVN show, stated that organizers cooperate with hotel security and local authorities but declined further comment on the incident.

Las Vegas police have not yet announced any arrests but confirmed that an active investigation is underway.
