NEWS & PRESS PORNSTARS STRAIGHT

Talent Testing Service (TTS), a cornerstone in the safety and well-being of the adult industry, has released its eagerly awaited February 2024 STD trends report, offering an insightful glimpse into the current state of sexually transmitted diseases within the sector.

The latest data showcases a notable decrease in Chlamydia Urine rates, continuing a downward trajectory from a peak observed in November 2022. February’s figures present an encouraging decline across the board, with total positivity rates dropping to 0.9% from January’s 1.5%, male rates descending to 1.1%, and female rates to 0.8%. This decline positions current rates well within historical expectations, typically hovering around the 2.0% mark.

Conversely, February witnessed a slight uptick in Gonorrhea rates, reversing the trend observed in the previous month. Female rates saw a rise to 1.0% from 0.6%, while male rates increased to 0.5%, pushing the total rate to 0.7%. Despite this month’s increase, the figures still fall within the standard fluctuation range, indicating no cause for alarm.

Syphilis rates also experienced a reduction, aligning with the general downward trend that began in August 2023. The total positivity rate for Syphilis in February fell to 4.7%, with female and male rates decreasing to 5.4% and 4.0%, respectively. These figures are part of a closely monitored weekly review to ensure ongoing vigilance.

The Chlamydia Rectal rates further demonstrated a positive downturn, with total rates reducing to 1.4%, and male and female rates both seeing decreases. The Chlamydia Throat rates, consistently within a more manageable range, remained aligned with their general downward trend.

Gonorrhea Rectal and Throat rates exhibited more volatility, particularly in the Rectal category, which has seen fluctuating levels since April 2023. Despite this, the February rates for both Gonorrhea categories remain within the expected range, albeit with diverging trends for male and female rates in the Throat category.

TTS’s comprehensive analysis, starting from a significant peak in December 2022, has been instrumental in tracking the progression and management of STD rates within the industry. The February 2024 update not only reaffirms the effectiveness of ongoing health and safety measures but also highlights the importance of continued vigilance and education in maintaining the well-being of all industry participants.
