Overview: Hello. I've just watched Anne, Bree Mills' twisted take on Little Orphan Annie, and I don't think I'll ever be the same again. No, this is an extremely dark and sometimes disturbing tale that reaches into the depths of one of the most creative minds in the industry and pulls out an ominous tale that adheres to the truly tasteless side of porn. Has Bree and Pure Taboo gone too far this time in shock value while at the same time presenting one of the most technically perfect adult films of 2018? I'll let you decide.

Disc One

A couple of days pass when Sarah and Steve show up at Daddy's mansion on the day of the charity event to make their false claim on Anne. Final Thoughts: Ok, I know this is Pure Taboo, the studio that is famous for pushing the envelope when it comes to story. But Anne makes one ask how far can you push it before it goes over the edge? I'm going to admit I as a reviewer am completely torn about this one. On the one hand, I'm absolutely marveling at the brilliance of it. As of this writing, Tommy Pistol has already won the XBIZ award for his performance, and rightfully so. He plays the role with such beautifully greasy sleaziness that it's definitely a tour de force performance. The guy can do anything, and the cruelty he brings to this character is fantastic. Eliza Jane also gives an amazing performance. I've been an admirer of this young starlet for a while and this performance has definitely put her on the path to stardom, giving such a passionate delivery in both her speaking and sexual parts. Her Anne is a young woman who was dealt such a bad hand in life and only lives to find love not only for herself but for those she loves back. Couple that with the terrific sets (the grimy home and the squalid conditions the girls are forced to live in are beautiful), Bree Mills' and Craven Morehead's wonderful work behind the camera as well as Woody All-in's expert editing, make this a truly epic expedition. It's the themes that I question. I can get over the girl locked in a dog cage, and the girls being forced to piss in a bucket in the corner of the room. What gets me is Sally's story and how Mr. Hands prostitutes her out to her sister and her scummy husband. Some people may argue that she's having sex with them of her own free will. No, Mr. Hands sold her to his sister, forcing her to abide by his wishes. What would have happened if she had refused? What would her punishment have been? This scene is an example of Bree Mills dancing on the razor's edge, and cutting her foot in the process. Some things are just TOO taboo, and shouldn't be touched. Now the hardest thing for me as a reviewer is trying to decide a recommendation. Should I look at the flawless technical aspect or the despicable storyline? In the end, after much (and I mean MUCH) contemplation, I've come to the conclusion that this IS a Pure Taboo release. That it was made to be shocking, and on that account, it definitely does the job. So, because it's so technically perfect I'm going to Highly Recommend it. Just be forewarned that it deals things that the average person may not be able to handle. I remember Bree Mills comparing this to a David Lynch film. Honestly, I would say it's more like John Waters, which in a backhanded way is a compliment.
