For bonus features on this release there's a photo gallery, some previews, a behind the scenes featurette (29:28), and a bonus scene from "The New Devil in Miss Jones", which is very grainy and antiquated but solid nonetheless. The behind the scenes feature is pretty extensive with candid interviews when the main camera's weren't rolling and other bits off stage. Watching how some of the scenes were shot is also a highlight of this feature.

Video/Audio:

The Devil in Miss Jones: The Resurrection is presented on Blu-ray with a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, full 1080p high definition, and VC-1 encoding. The picture quality varies greatly in terms of quality with some moments looking fantastic, and others not so. There are times where the scenes capture some incredible detail from the tiniest bead of sweat on the brow of the pumping male stars to little bumps around freshly shaven pussies. These moments are fleeting, however, and all around the detail doesn't last when in motion or from a distance. Whites come across as a little too bold on this mix, black levels aren't as deep as they could have been, and all around the lighting seems to be an issue of the production. It's not a bad HD transfer by any means, but it's not top of the line either.

As far as the sound quality is concerned the Dolby Digital 2.0 (48 kHz 256 kbps) is a little disappointing. This was a release that deserved a full 5.1 TrueHD track, or something of that sort, and with that omission it feels flatter than most other Blu-ray titles we've seen. The quality is sharp enough compared to a DVD release, but this definitely isn't an immersive or stunning audio presentation.

Body of Review:

The Devil in Miss Jones series has definitely been a popular one. Many releases have hit the market and the latest from Vivid, "The Resurrection", stands as one of the better installments. Presented on Blu-ray DMJ: The Resurrection features an all-star cast that includes several fan favorite performers. Rebeca Linares, Belladonna, Penny Flame, and Carmella Bing lead the crew and command the action. Anyone that is a fan of the series will instantly fall for this release, and newcomers looking for a devilish good time won't be disappointed.

Scene 1:

Belladonna is featured in the first scene of DMJ and her piece begins with a little bit of background and story that sets up The Resurrection. It's silly, really, and thankfully it's not long before we get to the good stuff. The one thing that stands out about this scene right from the get-go is the fact that Belladonna wears absolutely no makeup. She works a very plain look here and it's her performance that makes her stand out, not a great cosmetic artist. She's one of the hardest working girls in the business and her skills never cease to amaze me every time I see her. She gives an absolutely amazing blowjob here that sees her taking Kurt's cock balls deep. On top of that she basically goes bobbing for apples in his ass and rims him extensively. This is all foreplay, however, and the action is every bit as gorgeous as one might expect. In typical Belladonna fashion her ass is assaulted like you wouldn't believe and the scene ends with her man cumming deep in her ass and scooping it out to feed it to her. Classy!

Scene 2:

After this opening scene there's some plot nonsense and gobbledygook. The story moves forward by introducing us to more characters, and giving little snippets of sexy shots in the interim, but it takes simply far too long to bring us to the next piece of action. At around the 50 minute mark we come across a threesome with Rebeca Linares getting nailed while her male partner (Kurt once again) gets rimmed and fingered by Carmella Bing. As the scene moves forward and intensifies the girls switch spots and Rebeca offers her ass up for exploration. Carmella does some exploring of her own and while Kurt pumps away she shoves a glassy dildo inside his ass. They all switch spots and the action stays very intense until the climax, where the girls share some of Kurt's man goo.

Scene 3:

The third scene in DMJ: Resurrection is relatively brief and full of plot exposition. Basically Kurt and Belladonna go at it again, but something is amiss. We don't get much in terms of sex here, but there's a little bit of foreplay before the action cuts away.

Scene 4:

The next scene on this release is broken up between two sets of action. On one side of the coin you have a rather sultry piece of lesbian sex between Belladonna and Penny Flame. The girls really get into each other, there's some anal fisting, and Belladonna even gets fucked in the ass by a beer bottle. It's no less than we'd expect from here, but there's just something about this scene that really heats the screen up.

Adding to this equation is the inclusion of a threesome that features Penny Flame Victoria Sin and Tom Byron. It starts out with Penny giving some oral service to Tom and eventually Victoria waltzes in and joins in the fun. The sex here is hot and sweaty and was a lot of fun. This was one of the steamier threesomes I've seen in a while, I dare say. The two scenes come together for a fantastic and varied experience that proves to be edited nicely together. They fit into the plot in terms of context, though the real highlight is the sex itself.

Scene 5:

Up next is an impressive orgy that features the entire cast of DMJ: Resurrection getting together for a meating. There's so much eye candy here that it's daunting to take it all in. Bondage abounds as Belladonna is tied up, Savanna straps on a dildo and gives it to her while she sucks on some cock. Meanwhile Victoria and Rebeca work on their partners, Penny plays with herself, and all around there's just about every form of sex you can think of here. Deep throating, massively hard anal pounding, and gaping. In the end everybody cums on Belladonna. Normally watching orgies isn't my thing, but this one had so much to offer it was a sensory overload. Awesome stuff!

Scene 6:

The crew of DMJ: Resurrection isn't finished quite yet, since there's still one more tiny piece of action to get through. This one features the glorious Penny Flame pinned to a sofa and taking Steven St. Croix deep in the ass. The sex is really good all around and there's a greaet chemistry etween the two performers. Though brief, this scene was one of the steamier inclusions on this release and was a nice way to top it all off.

Summary:

The Devil in Miss Jones: The Resurrection is a stellar show that doesn't let up for a second. The sex is fantastic from start to finish and each of the performers brings their A game here. The plot is hilarious at parts, entertaining in others, and downright bad all around, but that's really part of the charm. The focus here is on the action, and thankfully that doesn't disappoint in the least. If you're looking for a great Blu-ray release that you'll return to again and again, this is definitely it. Highly Recommended!
