Audio/Video Quality: Given the funny nature of the movie, I thought
that all the minor glitches-and there were only a couple-were intentional.
For the most part, the picture looked great and the sound was fine with
decent music.

Body of Review: As part of Memorial Day weekend, I decided to hold my
own movie marathon just as several cable TV channels advertised that they
were doing. My porn-o-thon was to watch several Jonathan Morgan movies made for
Wicked. I can't get enough of this guy's movies since they almost always
show technical excellence along with an ingredient missing in many other
company's releases, FUN! Give him a chance to direct a comedy, with an
appropriate sized budget, and you are almost guaranteed a movie that will
make you laugh as well as make you hard (or, if you're a woman, wet).

With this in mind, I take a look at the wonderfully amusing One Sleepless
Night. It stars one of the best performers in the history of porn, Kylie
Ireland, who shows us once more why she has lasted so long in an industry
known for short careers. She's not only a babe, not only likes sex, but she
can act and proves that a woman can be over 30 and still generate more heat
than a dozen flavor of the month types.

In this movie, she plays a married woman who can't get to sleep so she
watches late night TV. As she changes the channels, she drifts off and
imagines the characters in various sexual situations, sometimes including
herself. If you loved Double Feature or it's sequel, you're going to enjoy
this one too. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: May The Best Man Win: Kylie, Pat, and Joel: This is a
takeoff on those lousy late night westerns that we've all seen on TV. The
gunmen have sex with Kylie instead of a shoot out which suits them just
fine. Like many Kylie scenes, this one has anal and is blistering hot.

Scene Two: Kung Foo Theater: Kianna and Brad: How many times have we
watched those poorly dubbed chop sockie martial arts movies and wish the
cutie got busy? For me, a guy who has imported hundreds of martial arts dvds
from Hong Kong, I can answer "way too many". No matter, Brad proves once
more that he has what it takes to make a gal happy and Kianna reacts
appropriately.

Scene Three: Ooga-Booga: Calli and Lee: In this cheesy take off of
all those dinosaur movies ever shown on cable, complete with the puppets
held up by strings. Lee has always struck me as perfect for this type of
role and he didn't disappoint. She seemed suited to her role as well but the
two didn't quite click enough for me to say that there was an abundance of
chemistry.

Scene Four: Chainsaw Massacre: Kylie and Kyle: Fans of late night
horror movies should rejoice that they are now able to goof on a porn
version of their favorite genre. The sex was great and the set up funny
enough to make me fall out of my chair laughing.

Scene Five: Man Down: Terra and Jason: What spoof on late night TV
would be complete without a tip of the helmet to all those army films? Jason
is treated by the lovely Terra and the two boned like they wouldn't see the
next day. The overacting added to the pleasure and humor with the sex pretty
good too.

Scene Six: But Wait, There's More: Kylie, Cherie, and Joelean: In
this infomercial, Kylie demonstrated how she was working on her "second
million" by selling dildos door to door. After the workout she gave, and
received, I would've bought a few too. This scene had great chemistry and
was my favorite-technical DP's and all.

Summary: I'm not sure who should get the most credit, Jonathan or
Kylie, for how well this one turned out. Comedy is tough to pull off in porn
unless it's unintentional comedy but Jonathan is a master of humor in porn.
That he had such a cast and crew to work with only made it easier for him.
The sex was generally very well done, the technical values what I'd expect
from a Wicked release, and the cast lovely enough to watch over and over
again. What more could a guy ask for?

The current online price of this one is under $30. Considering the replay value, this is a decent price. I think couples will probably appreciate it more than uptight old porn watchers that are too jaded to have fun though. If you need circus act sex, like women who look like children,
or want a serious porn to get off to, this will not be for you.

Note to Wicked: Make a sequel, call it Another Sleepless Night,
include a science fiction scene, a Mexican drama scene, a spoof on those
uptight British shows, and a wildlife scene like Marlon Perkins old show,
and you'll have another winner. Just try and add an audio commentary if
possible. Thanks!
