Audio/Video Quality: It’s A Girl Thing was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Lizzy Borden for Tom Byron Pictures. The lighting was often generous and the camera typically steady but the composition of the shots was not always optimal at enhancing the looks of the ladies. The generic settings were sometimes so busy that they distracted from the visual appeal and the impression I had with the entire production was that despite a high video bitrate, it was quickly thrown together. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the 192 Kbps aural bitrate not really anything special. The vocals could be heard but some seemed to be looped or at least overly repetitive, some of the cast so well known for their aural efforts not allowed to provide as heated an experience for some reason.

Body of Review: Lizzy Borden has been a performer and director for years now, her most interesting works I’ve seen coming out of her long ago under the Extreme Associates label. She has been providing some safer works more recently under the Tom Byron Pictures label now, a few of them reportedly pretty strokable. Her latest one sent to me just the other day was It’s A Girl Thing, a series of four lesbian trysts starring some of the biggest names in the industry. For my part as a critic, I state up front that every gal in the movie looked fuckable but I picked it up because the inclusion of Brooklyn Lee, Chanel Preston, and Gracie Glam, my biggest initial complaint being the running time was so short (under 80 minutes?!? Seriously?!?). The company website described the movie like this: “Just face it: girls want it a certain way. Men will try, but they just can't please a woman the way another can. No man can make a woman scream in orgasmic bliss and shudder with every touch from another woman. Just leave us girls to play with each other. It's A Girl Thing, you wouldn't understand!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Gracie Glam, the sexy starlet featured on the right side of the front cover, was up first with cute brunette Gia Steel, herself featured on the left side of the cover. Gia was resting in her white cover outfit as the camera panned her body, waking her to a slow masturbation effort when Gracie joined in. Gracie was also in her outfit and the two verbally bantered around while lightly pawing each other, some boob play and rug munching leading to a toy deployed vaginally. There was no spunk, splooge, population pudding or genetic juice in evidence but the couple had some chemistry even if they were not provided enough time to fully get off.

Scene Two: Brooklyn Lee, the reigning new Starlet of the Year, cutie Georgia Jones, and lean Kiara Diane, were up next in a dark room containing various large fans. The ladies all wore black and spoke little as they felt each other up and otherwise enjoyed their bodies, Brooklyn seemingly driving the sexuality of the short tryst coming across as the prime mover & shaker. There was a toy used but most of the action was oral and fingering, the amount of close-ups pulling their passion out of context (the camera work this time among the worst of the show). The use of the double headed dildo was interesting but the scene fell short despite Brooklyn’s efforts.

Scene Three: Chanel Preston, another award winning babe, and director Lizzy Borden, were up next on a mattress on the floor of a darkened room. They were all over each other and at least displaying some energy when clawing each other. They teased each other and attempted to spice things up with some rough slapping, Lizzy working over Chanel pretty nicely. The toy they used was a long pink wand complete with handle and hilt, Chanel all but daring her to shove it in deeply though Chanel masturbated with it too. Chanel then returned the favor using the device and a large black plug while rimming Lizzy, some taste testing coming off as playful to say the least.

Scene Four: Shyla Jennings and Nora Skyy, both attractive young ladies, were up last in a bedroom, the lighting better than the previous two scenes and akin to the first. They were in standard bikini undies and pulled off pieces as they went down on each other, some eye contact helping to add a bit of interest to the admittedly short lesbian tryst. They used vibrators and were soon eating each other out before positioning themselves beside one another to diddle their friend, some verbal banter adding some modest stroke value before the ending kiss.

Summary: It’s A Girl Thing by director Lizzy Borden for Tom Byron Pictures was too short for my tastes and some of the technical values matched the limited extras but I felt the strength of casting by using such notables as Chanel Preston, Brooklyn Lee, and Gracie Glam certainly made it worthy of being rated at least a Rent It. The formula applied to the lesbian trysts was pretty tame and varied very little so it lacked some of the punch from Lizzy’s earlier efforts but there was potential to upgrade future releases in a series should the director concentrate on giving consumers more fuck for the buck. In short, It’s A Girl Thing had four scenes of lipstick lesbian play, a few of the trysts standing out over the others but clearly some effort made to include a superior cast of attractive gals you will definitely have heard of.
