The box copy on the back of the DVD for Wicked Pictures’ release of Axel Braun’s Glamcore describes the feature as ‘a fashion magazine coming to life’ except that it’s ‘full of hot, nasty, hardcore sex’ and to be fair to their marketing department, that is pretty much spot on. The four scenes that make up the eighty-two-minute feature don’t really have a whole lot going on in terms of story or setup, but they do match the description provided, and that isn’t a bad thing. Here’s the obligatory look at who fucks who and how they do it…

Scene 1 –Skye Blue And Will Pounder: We get a bit of a prologue as we watch lithe, sexy, blonde Skye play with herself in a car before moving into Will's office. She's the aggressor here, kissing him forcefully and guiding his hands over her chest. They spend a good bit of time on the foreplay before he gets he spread on the table so that he can eat her out, which she seems to really enjoy. He fingers her for a bit and then eats her some more before she switches spots with him and gives him head. From there, he bends her over and fucks her from behind while she stands over the table, only to then lay her down on the table for some missionary style action. Glamcore isn’t doing anything that Michael Ninn wasn’t doing years ago but to Axel Braun’s credit, he does what he does here well. The girls all look great, each one a natural beauty and made up here to look about as hot as you can get. The production is fairly basic in that each scene simply takes place in a single room, but the rooms a properly lit and as unrealistic as these ‘fantasy’ sequences might be, they work in the context of what’s being shown to us. The cinematograph is also very good, we get the obligatory close up penetration shots that hardcore porn needs in order to be hardcore porn, but there’s also an artiness to the angles used and the lighting employed that gives this self-described ‘hot, nasty, hardcore sex’ a somewhat classy angle, even when someone is jerking off onto someone else’s face. Either way, nice job Braun and company, this was really well done.

Glamcore is a shot on digital video production which looks absolutely spotless, presented here in a very nice 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. It looks solid, with good color reproduction and detail that’s about as good as a standard definition DVD can provide. There aren’t any issues with compression and overall it look quite good.

The Audio:

The English language Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track is also of good quality. There’s very little dialogue here at all but the moaning and groaning and general sounds of sex come through clear and concise with properly balanced levels throughout.

The Extras:

Extras are slim. In additino to a slide show, we get trailers for Fucking Everyone, Going In Raw, Lovers Retreat and Size Matters, but that's about it. Menus and scene selection are also provided. The back of the packaging says that the disc includes ‘3 bonus sex scenes’ but they’re nowhere to be found on the disc itself.

Final Thoughts:

Wicked Pictures’ DVD release of Axel Braun’s Glamcore doesn’t necessarily reinvent the hardcore porn wheel but it does offer a quartet of seriously steamy sex scenes that are performed with believable enthusiasm by some seriously attractive women and their male co-stars. The disc is light on extras but the presentation quality is strong. Recommended.
