Audio/Video Quality: Brunettes Go Black was presented in a crisp, anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Mason for her line of hardcore scenes called “Hard X” as distributed by Mile High Distribution. Mason has been highly acclaimed for how good the visuals of her movies look and in terms of the quantity of light, the evenness of how the scenes were lit, and the color tones of said lighting; I rarely have a complaint because Mason is taking care of business. In terms of the framing and editing (by Royson Hall) decisions, they are generally on par with other mid level companies in terms of providing a good amount of polishing up that balances capturing the raw energy of a sex scene with the desire to make it look the very best. The vocals were decent and suited the visual aspects of the show, the lack of a continuous company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen definitely helped minimize distractions. While showing up as being in Dolby Digital stereo on my equipment, the aural components were like almost all other gonzo releases of late with no separation between the channels and sounded as if captured by the microphone built into the camera.

Body of Review: Mason is a multi-award winning director whose works are now distributed by Mile High Distribution. An older title came in for review called Brunettes Go Black, a set of four scenes starring attractive young brunette white ladies who all did black male performers; a spinoff of last year’s “Blondes Go Black” that I liked so much. As an established fan of interracial action in adult entertainment, I have seen more emphasis on blonds over the years but no shortage of women with darker hair in such scenes, the listed cast not exactly strangers to men of color. Still, with babes like cover hotty August Ames, ever popular Jada Stevens, smoking hot Adriana Chechik, and perky Jillian Janson engaging men such as Lex or Prince, there was at least some potential to live up to their past scenes. As an added bonus for anal aficionados, two of the scenes included anal as well though frankly, the vaginal sex was better in almost all positions.

"Brunettes Go Black is shot in 1080p and directed by the award winning Mason. Enjoy!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Adriana Chechik, a skinny brunette with brilliant eyes and a very appealing face, was up first with the infamous Lexington Steele, the movie actually starting with the gal talking about having anal sex with the man of steele. Rather than a proper tease, the interview was followed by Lex caressing her and sucking her tits, the man handing her his genetic gift to stroke as he admired her from behind. Summary: Brunettes Go Black by director Mason for Mile High Distribution under their “Hard X” label had some replay value and strokability so I rated the movie as Recommended. The cast of appealing ladies included sultry August Ames, Curvy Jada Stevens, pretty Adriana Chechik, and slutty blond Jillian Janson having fun with genetically gifted black males, a few of them top tier guys like Prince Yahshua or Lexington Steele. In short then, Brunettes Go Black had decent technical values and a fine cast, the extras on the light side but Mason was able to pull all the elements together in such a way to make it work better than the many of IR titles on the market so if you haven’t done so already, check this one out.
