Extra's: The best extra was easily the 9:54 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by lovely Shay Jordan as the BTS reporter (and edited by Willem Default). Shay seemed to have a lot of fun in her role and there were a lot of silly humor clips (as expected) with sound effects, animations, and more sex (as well as some silly nods to Robby "The Hamper Bandit" D. being a pervert, and a few zingers tossed his way). There was also a photogallery, a pop shot compilation from the scenes, as well as a slide show, and trailers for movies such as Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge (Blu-ray), Island Fever 4 Blu-Ray, Jack's POV 1 Blu-Ray, Cheerleaders BR, Babysitters BR, Pirates BR, Contract Star BR, and Island Fever 3 BR.

Audio/Video Quality: Sophia Santi: ScreamBlu-ray was presented in the same 1.78:1 widescreen color it was shot in by Director of Photography Robby D. for conceptual director Celeste released by Digital Playground last month. In terms of lighting and quality of picture, the movie looked exceptional, shot in HD with the scenes all being shot with the lighting more straightforward here. There was no unintentional grain or video noise observed, I saw no compression artifacts (though the bitrate was occasionally under 16.1 Mbps), and the composition of the scenes was such that all of the gals were made to look very nice. Each scene seemed far more like the gonzo style that Robby shoots for his own releases, losing the artistic aspects for the most part while embracing what fans have demanded (with Willem "Sir Splice A Lot" Default on the editing board this time). It had a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track with a 448 Kbps bitrate in English with some decent separation and dynamic range, with the various selections providing a nice aural setting for the visuals in the location it was shot in. I was thankful that the vocal track was restored here and the moody music served merely to punctuate rather than completely replace it, a fine job compared to some of the slow motion ridden works by Celeste.

Body of Review: Celeste is an example of a director that prefers to conceptualize her fantasies in order for her crew to make happen rather than get dirty with the camera herself. This is a unique dynamic at Digital Playground since the other directors they employ are more hands on in the way they do things. Sometimes though, she comes up with something creative and original that doesn't rely on gonzo or the usual pretty porn elements to offer up a series of heated stroke scenes. Her latest remaster coming to me was Sophia Santi: Scream Blu-ray; a series of six scenes that seemed more Halloween oriented than anything I've seen by the company since starting to review their movies. The showcase of the movie this time is the lovely Sophia Santi with some assistance by numerous other attractive gals, most notably Jana Cova. While Sophia still refrains from having onscreen sex with men, she is getting more heated in her attempts to display her sexuality so the possibility of her going all the way looms on the horizon as time continues. Here's a brief glimpse into the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Sophia Santi, the beautiful brunette seen on the right hand side of the front cover, was up first in a lesbian tryst with curvy babe Jelena Jensen, and relative newcomer Shay Laren after some establishing shots of supernatural origin. Scene Two: Bobbi Star, a masked brunette that reminded me a lot like a younger version of Dana DeArmond, was up next in a creepy salute to thrillers as a masked Marco Banderas/Duato stalked her in the dark house. I liked that whoever was not riding at a given time spent some time assisting with additional oral but the dark theme was augmented by the low level lighting that made it creepier than usual too (like most of the movie in fact). Summary: Sophia Santi: Scream Blu-ray by director Celeste released by Digital Playground last month was well worth a rating of Rent It thanks to the amounts of fuck for the erotic buck, stroke value and replayability, the Blu-ray upgrade a nice touch but not enough to merit the expense of the very expensive price tag. The fine edges of Celeste's works have always used the camera work of Robby in an effort to try new things and the culmination of her works seems to show a willingness to embrace a wider audience than ever before as evidenced by Sophia Santi: Scream. She may not appeal to all of us as much as Robby does but she has certainly come a long way thanks to his assistance.  For me then, the high definition version was such that I found it a nice upgrade but just not enough for me to shell out the added dough to pay top dollar, perhaps if a sale were lower the price, making it a better deal.
