Audio/Video Quality: Blondes Go Black was presented in a crisp, anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Mason for her line of hardcore scenes called “Hard X” as distributed by Mile High Distribution. Mason has been highly acclaimed for how good the visuals of her movies look and in terms of the quantity of light, the evenness of how the scenes were lit, and the color tones of said lighting; I rarely have a complaint because Mason is taking care of business. In terms of the framing and editing decisions, they are generally on par with other mid level companies in terms of providing a good amount of polishing up that balances capturing the raw energy of a sex scene with the desire to make it look the very best. The vocals were decent and suited the visual aspects of the show, the lack of a continuous company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen definitely helped minimize distractions. While showing up as being in Dolby Digital stereo on my equipment, the aural components were like almost all other gonzo releases of late with no separation between the channels and sounded as if captured by the microphone built into the camera.

Body of Review: Mason is a multi-award winning director whose works are now distributed by Mile High Distribution. A box of her works came in for review so the first one I will tackle is called Blondes Go Black, a set of four scenes starring attractive young blonde white ladies who all did black male performers. As an established fan of interracial action in my adult entertainment, I have seen this theme offered up a great many times in the past, few directors selecting the best quality of cast to work together, never mind lacking in the basic chemistry needed to make the scenes work for me so kudos go to Mason for her selection on both sides of the gender coin, using ladies like gorgeous Kagney Linn Karter, Scarlet Red, Jessie Volt, and Jenna Ivory with top notch males such as Prince Yahshua, Lexington Steele, and Jon Jon. As an added bonus for anal aficionados, two of the scenes included anal as well though frankly, the vaginal sex was better in almost all positions.

The cast of gorgeous ladies included Kagney Linn Karter, Jessie Volt, Jenna Ivory, and Scarlet Red and males such as Lexington Steele, Prince Yahshua, and Jon Jon but the energy and enthusiasm were what drove the rating a notch higher than usual. The technical aspects included too many close up shots and other choices that some might like more than others but the overall effect of the factors going into this interracial flick made it a winner. In short then, Blondes Go Black had decent technical values and a fine cast, the extras on the light side but Mason went the extra mile to pull all the elements together in such a way to make it work better than the majority of IR titles on the market.
