The following is a review for the high definition version of Monique's Been Blackmaled, the latest in a series of interracial movies starring Vivid contract performers.  I will try to get some pictures from the stadard definition release but here is a look at the movie's TRAILER for those interested in what it looks like.

Please Me (that starred Monique Alexander and Charles Dera). CCG lasted 10:39 minutes and PM lasted 10:19 minutes but neither were Monique's best works of the past year however they showcased her sleek figure. The 16:14 minute long Behind the Scenes feature was minimal but amusing, some additional nudity elevating the project for me but only a bit. There was also a photogallery, two trailers, and some spam for those that care.

Audio/Video Quality: Monique's Been Blackmaled (Blu-Ray) was presented in widescreen color using a 1.78:1 ratio offering as shot by director Paul Thomas for Vivid Entertainment in the VC-1 codec used for high definition releases. This one was shot in HD in 1080i60 and edited on Final Cut Pro by Fletcher Martin, the man doing a solid job, so being presented in the Blu-Ray format really helped it look good. The lighting was well handled (with minor exceptions in a few of the scenes that had less lighting and appeared overly saturated), limiting the grain, video noise, and other distracting flaws seen all too often in porn these days; appearing to be shot nicely by talented cameramen B. Skow and Flicktor. The composition of the camera angles and lighting was almost always optimal this time, the camera spending enough time mixing up the shots with a range of close ups, medium shots, and even longer shots to keep the eye actively watching. The fleshtones were usually accurate this time and the DVD mastering was well done, making it look pretty solid in terms of visual quality (though perhaps the compression ratio was set too high as the bitrate was only averaging about 12.1 Mbps (with a lot of variation) for the 1080i picture but the range varied substantially for those that are into the numbers). In short, the visual aspects were a decent upgrade from the regular version, proving my belief that the mastering was optimized for this Blu-Ray version. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital offering (at 192 Kbps using the standard 48 kHz sampling rate) with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent thanks to Miles Long. For some reason, the levels were mixed lower than usual but aside from the added background noise from doing so; the dynamic range was average and the separation of the vocal tracks nonexistent.

Body of Review: One of the genres in porn that seems to draw the most attention these days is the interracial genre where white women and black men fuck. A small but vocal following of this concept literally go from website to website trying to bully ladies into doing such scenes, claiming they are racist if they don't. Aside from the fact that we are all members of the human race (and woe be it unto the person that dares suggest we should be treated as equals when it comes to choices of sex partners), there are black men with small dicks and white women that will only work with brothers, yet no one calls them out on their choices. Partially in answer to these claims, Vivid Entertainment started a series years ago with Savanna's Been Blackmaled and Janine's Been Blackmaled showcasing their popular contract gals having sex with men they personally selected, the guys happening to be black. Directed by Paul Thomas they showed no preferences regarding race for the ladies, all the media interviews and footage shot for BTS indicated they had listed black men to work with but were held off, Janine not doing ANY men for years and Savanna quite selective about whom she'd work with altogether. The latest release in the series made it my way recently, a decent little flick called Monique's Been Blackmaled (Blu-Ray), this being the first high definition volume of the series I got to check out in the Blu-Ray format. Monique was in three of the four scenes, enjoying the sexual favors of a Latino male, a black woman, and her first scene with two men, both of them happening to be black. The rear cover said it like this: "Beth and her best friend Suki grew up in privilege and comfort. Their boyfriends did not...they're gang-bangers. But they're really a gang of posers, partying with rich kids and pretending to be bad. Their lives take a sudden turn for the worse when they have an encounter with the real thing...drug dealers on the mean streets of LA. Beth and Suki become drawn to the dark side of the city, where they must put their asses on the line...sucking and fucking real street thugs...and satisfying their secret desire to be owned..." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Midnight Fun: Monique Alexander, the attractive and lean blond featured on the front cover, was up first as she worked with Alex Gonz at the same time curvier Claire Downs worked with Derrick Pierce in the living room. The couples stayed paired off and did not denigrate into an orgy, the foursome all engaging in oral sex before fucking vaginally. The story elements of the drama were related to culture clashes and drug use, a bit of gambling once the quartet left the thugs behind. The editing was a bit haphazard here but the gals looked especially good in high definition, Monique's sparkling eyes and Claire's milky white skin in particular. The ladies stripped and started to play with each other but the guys intervened, Claire blowing Derrick while Alex ate Monique (then the role reversal). The vaginal fucking was fairly active but inconsistent, a condom used by Alex when drilling Monique (all her sex in the movie with men involved condoms). It wasn't a bad scene at all but it lacked replay value for me, Monique doused with genetic juice to her chest while Claire took a facial.

Scene Two: House Party: Sandy Jackman, a thick black gal wearing no bra under her t-shirt, was up next with Monique Alexander, the pair getting frisky outside at the party before taking the show to the back yard where the crowd followed them (Marcus even fingering Sandy for Monique to suck his finger clean). The gals licked and fingered one another and Marcus hung around for Sandy to blow, some toys deployed to liven things up but the almost slow motion manner in which it was shown just didn't work for me nearly as well as it could have, the lack of personal chemistry between the ladies evident from the beginning until the end.

Scene Three: Monique's Moment: Monique Alexander, freshly warmed up by Sandy in the previous scene, was up again (three in a row!?!) as she jerked off Mr. Marcus and Tyler Knight. This was the best scene of the entire movie by far and she seemed to really want to work with both of them, kissing them and slobbing their knobs in turns. The enthusiasm and energy Monique displayed livened matters up considerably and both men seemed to like her, Monique having worked with Marcus a few times before this one in the past. The slow, sultry head she gave them added to the mood and made the movie worth checking out all by itself though the vaginal screwing all involved condoms. Summary: Monique's Been Blackmaled (Blu-Ray) by director Paul Thomas for Vivid Entertainment had decent technical values and acceptable extras but the spark needed to insure the kind of replay value worth the added expense of a high definition release just wasn't there for me so I rated it as a Rent It. Monique proved again that she does not shy away from quality black cock and the minimal story will satisfy those of you into feature porn but your mileage may definitely vary depending on what you are willing to pay for a modest upgrade. In short, Monique's Been Blackmaled (Blu-Ray) just did not live up to the quality of either Savanna's Been Blackmaled or Janine's Been Blackmaled even if the technical aspects were better.
