There's no plot to speak of and despite the title Ms. Steele doesn't appear in every one of the feature's six scenes, instead she pops up in three of them, but in typical Digital Playground fashion this is a nicely shot feature with slick camera work and very professional production values. It's glossy, it's colorful, and it's sexy.

Scene One: Riley Steele And Erik Everhard After yapping it up with Erik for a few minutes, they head into the living room. Riley Steele Perfect Pet looks nice in this 1080p AVC 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, once again proving that the guys doing the HD authoring over at Digital Playground know what they're doing. There's a lot of detail present throughout, even in the scenes that have been filtered to look intentionally soft (the movie frequently employs a soft look to give the picture a dream-like quality). There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction and skin tones look excellent throughout. There aren't any problems with shimmering either, resulting in a very eye-pleasing transfer.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this Blu-ray release is a 48 kHz 448 kbps Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix in English. The audio on this release is fine but it isn't as impressive as the transfer is - and it really would have been nice to see an HD sound mix included. The levels are all properly balanced but there really isn't much here outside of the music - the sounds of the actual sex are more or less muted out, which does take away from the effectiveness of the material. The score sounds particularly good and there aren't any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. For an adult movie, the audio quality is better than average, but it doesn't really take advantage of the Blu-ray format at all.

Extras:

DP have included a quick Behind The Scenes featurette that clocks in at roughly twelve minutes. There are some candid interviews with the girls in here, though they're all fairly superficial and inconsequential. A bit of neat behind the scenes footage makes it worth skimming through, however, Motion menus, the standard Digital Playground trailer gallery, a still gallery, contact info, and scene selection round out the supplements on this release. All of the extras are presented in standard definition.

Final Thoughts:

While the extras are weak, the presentation is strong and the feature itself is a nicely shot and very glossy sex romp. The six scenes are each hot enough to be worth a look on their own - combine them onto one disc and you've got a very nice offering indeed. Riley Steele Perfect Pet comes highly recommended.
