The Movie:

Digital Playground seems intent on releasing all of the Stoya footage they can these days and you can't really blame them. Her stuff sells for reason and her substantial fanbase know that she almost always delivers a top notch scene. This brings us to Stoya - Sexual Freak 7, a movie made by Digital Playground artsiest director, Celeste. The feature doesn't really break any new ground and it probably won't surprise you to learn that it very definitely follows the tried and true Digital Playground formula, but hey, it's got Stoya in it, even if she's really only in two scenes of the six that make up this feature, as well as a few other lookers like Dan Dearmond and Tori Black.

Here's a rundown of who fucks who and who they do it:

Scene 1 - Stoya And Charles Dera: When this film begins, Stoya is talking to someone off camera. We move into the other room and see she's got Charles bound and gagged. Poor guy. She climbs on top of him and trash talks him while she fondles him and before you know it, she's spit on him and then untied him. The dialogue continues, she's basically holding his lady friend hostage and in return for her freedom she wants a good fucking. Stoya - Sexual Freak 7 looks very good in this 1080p AVC 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Thankfully Celeste. chose to light this in a fairly natural style, so skin looks like skin, there are no orange or hot looking hues here as seems to be fairly common in HD porn. Everything looks quite nice and natural. There's an insane amount of detail present not only on the performers but also in the sets and backgrounds/sets used in the production. There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction and skin tones look excellent throughout. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there but you do have to be looking for it to notice it.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this Blu-ray release is a 48 kHz 448 kbps Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix in English. The audio on this release is fine but it isn't as impressive as the transfer is and it'd be nice to see Digital Playground embrace lossless audio on their Blu-ray releases. Dialogue and music both stay clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score's resonance and bounce sounds good and there aren't any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. The audio here won't blow you away but it certainly won't disappoint you either even if there isn't a whole lot of rear channel action worth noting.

Extras:

As seems to be the norm with their Blu-ray releases, Digital Playground has supplied only one real extra and it's one of their standard behind the scenes pieces that features some interviews with the cast and some random behind the scenes footage. It's not very deep, nor is it very interesting, but it's better than nothing though Robby D's sense of humor is a welcome addition here. Motion menus, a bunch of Digital Playground trailers (in HD), a still gallery, contact info, and scene selection round out the supplements on this release.

Final Thoughts:

Stoya - Sexual Freak 7 is pretty steamy. If you're into scenes where women take control and appreciate a build up to accentuate the anticipation that should occur before the main event, definitely give this a shot. Stoya, being the cover girl and name attraction here, should have featured in more than two scenes but the release makes up for with by wrangling up some other great performers all of whom fit in well here. The audio and video are strong, the extras typical for Digital Playground, and this release comes highly recommended.
