It's no small task to go from writing about adult movies to actually making one. As the publisher of XCritic, I've had the distinct pleasure in seeing a number of talented porn critics jump in and take what they've learned from watching hours and hours of both good and bad porn and putting into action what works and what doesn't.

The truth is, there are few people more qualified to produce adult entertainment than those who have watched hundreds of hours of content. Adult Entertainment is indeed an art form, it's not just 'fucking on video.', it's an important and essential part of our freedom of speech and expression from everyone from the stars who perform to the people who watch, analyze, and review.

I can think of no greater pleasure than to watch a budding talent find their wings in this industry. It takes a ton of passion, hard work, perseverance, and heart to make it. It's hard to think of anyone with more of these essential qualities than Don Juan DeMarko. He came to us at XCritic an enthusiastic but not very experienced reviewer, who hit the ground running with a passion that is unmistakable. That passion, combined with an immense amount of hard work has lead to his first scene with Black Label Magazine. who has returned from a hiatus during the pandemic with some new content.

Don Juan DeMarko is known for his flowing verbosity that captures his true passion for adult entertainment and the people who work in it. it's ironic then than his first released scene should be so tight and restrained. This is the mark of a real talent, instead of a busy and chaotic scene, Don sees the woman who is in front of him, which in this case is Verronica Kirei.

The scene is about as no frills as you get, and to be honest, I don't think Don could have picked a better place to start. The scene, which runs just a little over 19 mins really takes its time to unfold. Shooting the tease is an artform, and Don's first full time out here he really lets Verronica have some space to work in.

Lincoln brings the camera in and out with Verronica who both feels like she's performing/teasing us as well as makes us feel like we are a fly on the wall. I really appreciate that the tease isn't rushed here, it's a full 9 mins of slowly unfolding and stripping tease that does a good job of building anticipation for the solo scene to follow.

The solo action here is completely stripped down, no toys, no insertions, just a very straightforward and classic rubout. I appreciate the fact that Don understands how to create some dynamicness with his camera and editing. We don't linger too long in one spot, and this helps keep the scene from being flat. Again there's a variance between feeling like we are being performed for and being a bit of a voyeur. The action builds here to a nice crescendo, which doesn't feel rushed or performed.

Ultimately, what Don and Lincoln have captured here is something that feels intimate. He clearly has good chemistry with his performer and she has the space to genuinely get herself off. The result is a very sexy scene, which moves along well but never rushes to its destination. The elements aren't perfect here, there are some film strip graphical transitions which pull us out of the scene, but they are sparingly used and the image feels a little more muddy than I prefer. Having said all that, it's a hell of a debut from someone who I think we will see a lot more from. Don Juan DeMarko is clearly a performer centered producer, and his magic seems to be creating a space for a performer to be themselves and be comfortable in what they do. That's something that our industry is always in need of. Highly Recommended
